RIDGE AND RICK RUMBLE!

Last
week, Taylor confessed that she still loves Ridge and the exes shared a
couple of steamy kisses. This week, Taylor is banking on his
relationship with Brooke inevitably going south and she decides to wait
for Ridge. What does that mean for Rick? "She cancels the wedding,"
says Ron Moss. "This is something that Ridge never wanted her to do. He
truly loves Brooke and is 100% committed to their marriage happening
and for the two of them to grow old together. But Taylor is feeling
that the only man in her life should be the father of her children and
she thinks it's a perfect opportunity to get Ridge back. Taylor has
seen the pattern of how Brooke has treated Ridge over time, so Taylor
is going for it. She thinks Ridge will get tired of this dysfunction
with Brooke."

In the meantime, Rick is devastated that Taylor
doesn't want to be his wife - and he places all the blame squarely on
Ridge. "Rick is furious with Ridge," says Moss. "Rick confronts Ridge
at the Sky Lounge in Forrester Creations and basically blames him for
everything that has gone wrong in Rick's life. Ridge tries to keep Rick
calm by being the voice of reason. Ridge is taking the high road, but
Rick keeps coming at him. Things get really out of hand."

The
argument escalates and becomes physical. "There's no calming Rick
down," Moss previews. "Ridge decides to just let Rick throw a punch,
thinking it would get the aggression out. But that doesn't work and
things take a turn for the worse."

That's because an enraged
Rick really loses control. "Rick starts choking Ridge and he can't
breathe," explains Moss. "So Ridge has no choice but to break from
Rick's grasp. But when Ridge does that, Rick falls back over the wall.
That's when we find out he can't fly."

Rick plummets to the
ground below and lies in a crumpled heap, unconscious. Ridge is
horrified and paramedics are quickly called. As a gravely injured Rick
is being treated, Ridge knows he has to call Brooke with the terrible
news. "This is going to be tough," notes Moss. "How do you explain
this? 'Hi honey, I'll be home for dinner...and by the way, something
happened at the office...' In Australia, Ridge punched Rick and Brooke
has had that against him for being violent against her son. This time,
Ridge was just trying to defend himself, but will Brooke see it that
way?"

When a shattering prognosis of Rick's health is made later this week, Brooke may never want to see Ridge again.

October
24 - An emotional Stephanie painfully recounts her troubled past in a
last ditch effort to heal both the present and the future.

Stephanie and Eric end up unlikely allies in a dangerous quest.

Brooke's love and devotion gives Rick the strength he desperately needs.

On
the recaps page, there is a Q&A. Ron Moss is asked, What led to
Taylor and Ridge's kiss? He answers, "If you have chemistry with
someone it's always going to be there on some level."

Soap Opera Weekly (10/28/08):

RIDGE AND RICK BRAWL!

Taylor breaks up with Rick this week and, devastated, he goes off the rails..

"She
finally says, 'It's over between us. I can't marry you. This can't
happen because I have feelings for Ridge and I want a life with him,'"
sets up Kyle Lowder. "Then Rick goes, 'What, I've just been a shoulder
to cry on? Someone to pump you up and boost your ego? I've basically
been giving you strength so you can pursue your old love again? You've
been using me!' But the bottom line is that Taylor's like, 'We're done.
There is nothing you can say and nothing you can do.'"

Except
get completely furious. "When Rick hears all of this, he's just
completely slapped upside the head and then he goes into a complete and
total irrational rage," affirms Lowder. "Not only is he losing the
woman that he loves, but he's also losing her to Ridge. Take one person
in this entire world to not be losing his fiancee and future to, and
Ridge is that one person in the world that he can't fathom dealing
with."

Rick calls Ridge with terse instructions to meet him up
at the Forrester Creations Sky Lounge. Once there, "Rick has these
almost villainous monologues, like something out of an epic movie,"
recalls Lowder. "Rick starts off like, 'The great and powerful golden
boy Ridge Forrester can do no wrong,' and goes on and on. In Ridge's
eyes he is like, 'I didn't do anything! I kissed Taylor, but I own up
to that!'"

Not to mention that he still fully intends to marry
Brooke. But, "Rick is like, 'No, you led Taylor on,'" says Lowder.
"Then he goes into their entire history: You did this to my mom and
you've hurt her and you've been a nightmare to this family.' Rick just
throws the kitchen sink at him."

When Ridge tries to walk away,
Rick also throws a punch. Or two. "He unloads on Ridge's face, sends
him to the pavement, and then Rick just goes absolutely primal,"
recounts Lowder. "He's yelling, 'Get up, Ridge.' Ridge gets up and
says, 'Rick, we don't want to do this: this is a complete mistake,' but
as he's talking, Rick unloads another haymaker right into his face.
Before Ridge can even steady himself, Rick is on his back, choking the
life out of him. A lifetime of problems that he has had with Rick are
coming to a head, and in this moment, he just doesn't care if Ridge
dies."

Ridge tries desperately to dislodge a crazed Rick,
shoving him against the Sky Lounge's short wall, and, "in one last gasp
before Ridge runs out of air, he throws his arms up, releasing Rick -
Rick has no balance whatsoever and falls."

Trying to recover his
breath, "Ridge has that moment where he turns around, runs to the ledge
and looks three stories down and Rick is lying on the pavement. He runs
downstairs and it kicks off all of these possibilities: Are Ridge and
Brooke going to break up over this? What's going to happen to Rick? Is
he dead?" muses Lowder.

Or will he have a new, darker lease on life?

Three's Company for B&B's Eric?

Eric
Forrester has a problem. His wife won't give him up. And neither will
his other wife. Played on The Bold and the Beautiful by John McCook,
the Calvin Klein-like fashion designer recently came out of a coma to
find his estranged spouse, Donna (Jennifer Gareis), in a battle royal
with Stephanie (Susan Flannery), to whom he's been married three times.
Nothing new there — they've been fighting over him for months —but now
both gals want to live with Eric in the Forrester mansion and are
forcing him to choose between them. So, on Nov. 5, he decides that all
three will live together.

"It's a rather medieval way to
handle the problem — and someone is sure to wind up in the tower — but
it's the best Eric can do at the moment," McCook says. "He's got a
business to run. The economy is crazy. His children are all fighting.
He doesn't know what else to do. He loves both women — for completely
different reasons — so he thinks the way to solve the situation is for
them to play Jack, Chrissy and Janet."

McCook should be quite
comfy in that scenario, since he appeared on Three's Company three
times. "I always played a different character, but I was always some
kind of a--hole womanizer," he recalls. "In one episode, John Ritter
punched me and I went over a couch. In another, I punched him and he
went over a couch."

B&B might get just as goofy. In one
scene, Donna attempts to climb into bed with Eric only to find
Stephanie under the sheets instead. "We're not doing a situation
comedy," McCook insists, "but it's definitely a situation."

One that Eric is sure to regret.

Week of November 10th

to be impartial, Brooke records a speech that is kind to both Rick and
Ridge, but Rick alters the podcast in a way that slams Ridge.

An unaware Brooke has no idea why Ridge is furious and walked out on her.

Taken aback by Ridge's explosion, Stephanie forces the truth out of Rick.

Katie
becomes more insecure about her future with Nick when she observes his
reaction to the news of trouble between Ridge and Brooke.

Ridge accepts comfort from Taylor.

Casting/Extra Scoops: TV Guide revealed this week that a car accident will take the life of Ridge and Taylor's younger and emotional twin daughter Phoebe. Rick is driving the car, and an upset Phoebe grabs the wheel forcing the car to careen off the road. Phoebe is thrown from the wreck and later dies in Ridge's arms. The drama begins to unfold on Tuesday, Dec. 2 when Mackenzie Mauzy returns to say farewell to B&B and the part she's played since 2006. Drew Tyler Bell brings Thomas home for his father's wedding on Thursday, Dec. 4. Recurring cast members Patrick Duffy (Stephen) and Robin Riker (Beth) are among the guests at Ridge and Brooke's chaotic rehearsal dinner on Dec. 4, 5 and 8.

Steffy slaps Rick when he kisses her, but he won't let that deter his plans to use her for revenge against Ridge.

"She hits him pretty hard," giggles Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. "She is disgusted; he has gone from Phoebe, her twin sister, to her mom, which is just wrong and disgusting. She yells at him and puts him in his place. He says, 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry,' and then he starts to do it again!"

To which Steffy once again has an outraged response. "She calls him out; she knows that he is just using her to get to Ridge," Woods frowns. "He knew how much Ridge hated it [when Rick was with Phoebe.] She knows what his little plan is."

Rick admits during Steffy's tongue-lashing that he is determined to put a stop to Ridge's imminent nuptials to Brooke. "She would go to Ridge about it, but she thinks she can take care of it. She doesn't need to torment her father about this thing. She can handle it."

November 25 - Bridget calls Eric to tell him of her plans.

As The Bold & The Beautiful's Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) throws herself into a new business venture overseas, will fans see less of her on screen in the coming months?

The In Depth Story: Lang opened Kelly Spa in Rome in late September, and there are plans for the actress to open several more luxury spas over the course of 2009. How will that impact her schedule at B&B? "It won't really," the actress assures In Depth.

Because the show is typically only in production three out of every four weeks, Lang says she'll be able to schedule future business travel to coincide with B&B's down time. "There may be times where I might have to ask for time off, but we'll know way in advance," she notes. "Otherwise, because we set the dates for the spa openings, we can just schedule it during B&B's dark week."

In fact, Lang has already been racking up the frequent-flyer miles going back and forth from Los Angeles to Italy, and it has yet to conflict with her work schedule. "It seems like I've been flying there once a month lately, but since we have a dark week every month, it's been easy!"
